We've finished the morning's massed rehearsals, and it's always an amazing thing to me. Hearing three hundred or so handbell ringers all playing the same piece together (almost) at the same time is an awe-inspiring thing to hear. If I can figure out my technology here, there may be audio or video from today up later on, so check back for that.We're finishing up lunch and getting ready to hear the Raleigh Ringers concert at 1:00. I'll try to post again before the concert at 4:00, but if not, check back for an evening update later on.
As a bit of an aside -- if you're a handbell ringer and have never gone to a festival, you need to go. The experience is indescribable, despite how much I try to describe it here. Talk to your director about going, and convince them that they HAVE to go, no matter what. Trust me -- the time and effort is well worth it!
