¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Odds are good that the celebration here at the Krug house will consist of an evening bowl of chili, some iced tea, and an early bed time. Who says new parents can't be party animals?
Music -- I haven't written anything new this week, but I'm gearing up to start composing in earnest in the next day or two. I have several projects I need to get working on, and several others I'd like to get working on. It all amounts to a rather hectic May and June.
Writing -- I've finished my edits of this draft of Fealty and Fire, and have passed it back off to my lovely wife for one more looking over. That may well take a couple of weeks, but afterward, we'll be all set to publish, first in ebook format, followed a few weeks later by the print version.
Publishing -- I've been desperately trying to finish up some proofs for publishers. I try to return corrected proofs within a week, and with these past couple of pieces, I've had them for much longer, much to my dismay. I'm very close now, and by the time I go to bed tonight, I ought to have no more proofs in the house requiring my attention.
There are still a couple of pieces I'm expecting to be released sometime here in the next few weeks, and rest assured I'll post here when they're available. I also have grand plans to update the "compositions" page of The Creative to make it current and to link to audio of all my pieces. I don't have a timetable for that grand plan, but the plan is there nonetheless.
Have a fantastic day, and we'll see you back here on Wednesday.
