Where has this week gone? Time is starting to have no meaning for me, which is both a little scary and oddly pleasant. And no, I don't know what I mean, either ... I'm a little too sleep-deprived to worry about making sense just now.
Music -- I started on a handbell arrangement this week, which I later decide I just didn't care enough to tackle right now, so I abandoned it. I'm sure I'll go back to it some day, but I had a couple of piano pieces I was wanting to finish up, one of which I almost did, and the other of which I ought to be able to get done early next week. Then I'll turn back to handbell pieces for a while.
Writing -- I still need to give my final look over Fealty and Fire and start getting the file ready for publication, both in print and electronic formats. I also need to write all that annoying material -- the blurb for the back, the description for the retailers ... all that good stuff.
I am, also, contemplating doing Camp NaNoWriMo this year in June, and not writing a Sadonian Chronicles book, but rather another book I've had rolling around in my mind lately. If I decide to actually take the leap, I'll fill you in on the general idea, but for now, just know that I may be about to attempt something insane ... again.
Publishing -- Not much here this week except that I received my complimentary copies of my two newest from Alfred -- Go Tell It On the Mountain, and We Adore Thee!, which is a level 1 arrangement of Beethoven's Hymn to Joy. Kind of sad that these are some of the last handbell pieces to be coming out of Alfred for a while, at least until they decide to re-institute their handbell publishing program.
That's it for now. I have a busy day ahead with a board meeting for Indy's very own Circle City Ringers and a party/informal recital for my piano students. I've looked ahead, and I think that if I want a day where I can take a nap, I have to wait until next Friday. Gotta love crazy times of year. In the meantime, best of luck in all your creative endeavors!
