Saturday Summary, February 12, 2011

Every Saturday, The Creative will feature a brief post about my current creative efforts and how they are progressing. If this doesn't interest you, read no further -- not only will I not be offended, I'll never know. The usual creativity-centric posts will return on Sunday.

This week's post will be brief.  It's been a rather bad one for me, as a long-time friend and fellow bell ringer passed away on Tuesday.  I haven't felt all that much like composing, which didn't matter all that much because the time to do so really wasn't there this week.  All that being said, here's the update:

Music -- I tinkered a bit more with the piano arrangement of FOREST GREEN and a special handbell project I've been working on, but nothing really got finished.

Writing -- I've actually spent some time with my Sadonian Chronicles series this week -- reading over some of what I've written before, planning a bit, and writing some.  I haven't made incredible strides, but I've progressed, which is more than I can say for my writing life the past few months.

Publishing -- Absolutely nothing happening here -- no submissions, rejections, acceptances ... nothing.  Sometimes no news is good news.

That's it from here.  I hope to have more news next week.  Until then, have a good week, and keep creating!
